Sister Nora a sinister nun and gangster and why i leapt out the window of a school bus and ran a mile home for my catechism book cruel ear twister, pusher, shover then that sinister tongue too her big boot and extra thick sole no soul bone to pick with the world for one leg shorter than the other Sister Amelia Anne, her replacement just as ornery and dangerous though her girth and fat ass were an advantage for the victim to stay out of her cane’s reach as she surely used it goddamn it though the saving grace Confraternity of Christian Doctrine or CCD class was only an hour a week
B, Sister Nora sounds like a very negative force of nature. Your piece, and the picture, are hysterical and scary. I had friends who went to parochial schools and told me horror stories about the things that Nuns did to students. They may have married Jesus, but I'm sure he had those marriages annuled. :)
Hahaha. I'm sure he did. A lot of negative forces of nature have come out of that institution without a doubt. Now I'm interested to find out what ever became of these two. Pretty sure they've passed away and were already old when I was 7, 8, 9 and suffering their regime.
I'm Jewish, but my family is very mixed. My great grandma was Irish and Catholic and one of my grandpas was Italian from Sicily. At my Bar Mitzvah, my friends saw a nun sitting at one of the tables and asked me "Who is the nun." I said, "She's sister John Gregory, my cousin." They were just aghast. Sister John Gregory was not like your nun. She was a very gentle and loving soul, God rest her.
And I've known wonderful Rabbis and not so wonderful rabbis. One tannned my backside when I was eleven, but there was a fairly good reason. A story for another time.
Oh my goodness oh how I can relate to some of that. As soon as I saw the nun with the ruler, my young life flashed in front of me. I actually had a sister Amelia in the orphanage I was at.
She remembers your name
Have no idea the fates of these two...
And look how you turned out!
Only two of a few to blame ;)
I would have ran so fast!
hell yeah!

I'm sure she was great. Always a mixed bag in any institution no doubt. I've met my shsre of kind priests and nuns as well.

Haha. And an event you'll never forget ;)
Catholic schools and nuns, what a fright from my childhood. This was a good one indeed B… thanks!
Oh yeah. The cause of many painful memories for many of us.
For sure.
